Raise a glass as we celebrate 165 years…
This year marks 165 years since Oatlands Park Hotel first became a hotel. To celebrate our bar team at Bar 1509 have created a special anniversary cocktail called the Oatlands Royale. This sweet concoction includes flavours that were made popular in the Victorian era at the time.
Oatlands Park Hotel’s history
Following the expansion of the railway network in Britain, Weybridge soon became a destination on the London and Southampton Railway line. Soon after Oatlands House and the land surrounding it was sold at auction and in 1856 the mansion opened as the South Western Hotel. You can read more about our hotel’s fascinating 165 year history in our latest blog post here.

How to make the Oatlands Royale cocktail
WHAT YOU’LL NEED (MAKES 1 COCKTAIL):
- 35ml Disaronno
- 20ml De Kuyper Blue Curacao Liqueur
- 20ml Liqueur de Banane
- Topped with tonic water and ice
- Lemon to garnish
HOW TO MAKE OUR OATLANDS ROYALE COCKTAIL:
Fill an Old-Fashioned glass or a tumbler with ice to chill it. Shake all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Note: if you don’t have a cocktail shaker you could use a food processor or blender. Remove the ice out of the glass and refill halfway with fresh ice cubes. Strain the cocktail well into the glass and top with tonic water. Garnish with a slice of lemon – cheers!
