A hotel with history

Once the home of Kings & Queens

Our historic country house first became a hotel in 1856 and stands on the site of the grand Tudor Palace of Henry VIII. Monarchs, including Elizabeth I, James I and Charles I also resided at Oatlands during their reign. The great cedar tree at the front of the hotel was planted by Charles I to celebrate the birth of his son.
