Oatlands Park Hotel - a luxury 4-star hotel located in Weybridge, Surrey - is hiring a Bar Supervisor. You will report to the Bar Manager. The hotel is currently on a drive to set the standards of excellence in the luxury sector of the hotel industry, one of Surrey’s most dynamic and successful industries. Located in a stunning setting in Weybridge the hotel employs some of the most skilled, professional and dedicated people that the industry has to offer. This role is permanent, 40 hours per week contract worked over 5 days per week as per the rota. Reporting to the Bar Manager, as Bar Supervisor, you have overall responsibility for supervising a shift and the bar function. The main purpose of this job is to ensure the customer receives the highest quality of service. To assist the operational running of the bar and ensure that staff are fulfilling their duties to the best of their ability. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for all areas of the bar operation including: set up, all aspects of service, cashing up, locking up, stock takes, stock control, cellar management, cleaning lines, health and safety and maintenance.
  • Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Ensure subordinates are all working to the expected standard.
  • Effectively manage the bar team to suit business levels.
  • Promote, describe and upsell items, to inform guests and offer alternative items.
  • Have complete understanding of menus at all times.
  • Plan, prepare and mix cocktails.
  • Prepare drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
  • Train and develop the bar team.
  • Ensure performance standards are adhered to.
  • To work in other departments as directed.
  • Ensure the bar areas, back and front of house are clean and tidy at all times.
  • Assist with production of weekly rotas as require.
