JOB OVERVIEW
Oatlands Park Hotel is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead a busy kitchen team. You will lead a talented kitchen team and report directly to the General Manager. The core mission of this role is to ensure that the kitchen team meets the hotel's specifications, achieves performance targets, and upholds luxury service standards. Steeped in rich royal history, the hotel sits on the historic site of a grand Tudor palace originally built by Henry VIII. Today, the property operates as a premier four-star destination featuring 157 beautifully refurbished bedrooms and is highly renowned for its immensely popular traditional afternoon tea service as well as its bustling calendar of large-scale corporate events and conferences. Everyday responsibilities for the Head Chef involve managing inventory and food costs, creating staff rotas, handling recruitment and training within the kitchen, and designing exciting seasonal menus. Additionally, the Head Chef is fully responsible for maintaining strict HACCP compliance and ensuring the entire kitchen works in accordance with the Health & Safety Act 1974. Located in a stunning setting in Weybridge, Surrey, Oatlands Park Hotel aims to set the benchmark for excellence in the luxury hotel sector, driven by core company values like teamwork, integrity, and a passion for service. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Recruiting and line managing kitchen staff

REQUIRED EDUCATION
You should have the following: 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) including Maths and English, or equivalent. Minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification. Food & beverage professional qualifications. Food hygiene, HS&E, and First Aid accreditation/certification.
