Quick Guide to what’s on in Surrey this August

With our rose gardens abuzz with life and the clink of cocktail glasses out on the terrace, it is safe to say that summer has finally arrived at our 10-acre estate. So if you haven’t sorted out your Great British Staycation yet, you’d do well to nudge OatlandsPark Hotel to the top of your list. Our exclusive one–to–three-night staycation is the ideal treat or retreat this August. Escape the airport chaos and grab one or two superior doubles in our historic hotel.

Afternoon Tea and stay this Spring

A two – course meal at our Mulberry restaurant is included on arrival, as well as full English and continental breakfasts throughout your stay. There’s no rush to leave with our lazy check-out time either.

Our country house nestles neatly between two royal seats. Windsor Castle and Hampton Court Palace. For the foodies among you, there’s no better place to be this August than the Hampton Court Palace Food Festival held between Saturday 27th and Monday 30th of August. Feast on delicious street food, sip on cocktails and pick up tasty treats from a hand-picked selection of artisan producers, all against the backdrop of Henry VIII’s old home!

Bridgerton Experience

Enjoy Regency era – inspired afternoon tea that doubles up as an immersive experience with an overnight stay at Oatlands Park hotel. Set amidst the splendour of manicured gardens, our Grade II listed hotel is a short 10 – minute drive away from Painshill Park where Bridgerton was filmed. Special rate entry tickets are avaliable for sale at reception.

Painshill Park

Other highlights in the vicinity include three world-class gardens at Kew, Richmond Park, and RHS Wisely as well as other notable horticultural must-sees.

For the culture vultures among you, Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night takes over the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew with their magical production between Wednesday 29th July and Sunday 29 August 2022. Or, if you’re in the mood for a glass of wine why not visit one of England’s largest single estate vineyards, Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking.

Theatre at Kew

Don’t worry about the little ones either. With the three renowned theme parks of LEGOLAND, Windsor, Thorpe Park, and Chessington World of Adventures all on the doorstep, Oatlands has the kids covered too.

July is fully booked, but there’s still availability in August… for now.
