The health and wellbeing of our guests, our staff and our community are of the utmost importance to us. We have implemented additional hygiene and safety measures to ensure a Covid-19 Secure Environment, and we have been awarded the accreditation ‘We’re good to Go’ by Visit England.

From 19th July

Open for business

  • Our hotel is open to all guests for overnight stays.
  • The Mulberry Restaurant is open for lunch, afternoon tea, Sunday lunch and dinner. There is no limit on table numbers.
  • We recommend our staff and guests continue to wear a face coverings when indoors, however this is not mandatory.
  • Wedding Ceremonies, Wedding Receptions and Wakes can take place in our licensed event rooms based on our maximum capacity.
  • Business meetings, events and conferences can take place in our event rooms based on our maximum capacity.

Step 4 guidance

As most legal restrictions will end from 19th July, including removing social distancing and social contact restrictions within hospitality, the Government has imposed that cautious guidance will remain and will continue to manage the virus and provide guidance over the coming months.

  • Testing when people have symptoms.
  • Testing when contacted by NHS Test and Trace or when advised to by the NHS COVID-19 app.
  • The Government recommends that people wear face coverings in crowded areas.
  • We will be allowing plenty of ventilation and letting fresh air into our hotel.
  • The Government recommends minimising the number, proximity and duration of social contacts.

    We have implemented the following hygiene and safety measures to ensure our hotel is a Covid-19 Secure environment. These guidelines will be constantly updated following any new government guidance and regulations. If you still have any questions or concerns, then please contact us.

    Our safety measures

    • Before your visit
      • We politely request that if you, or anyone you have recently been in contact with, are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19, that you call us to postpone your stay/ visit. These include; A high temperature and a persistent cough, fever, breathlessness, sore throat, headache and loss of sense of taste or smell. Where possible please adhere to the 24-hour cancellation policy, until you and your household members have been cleared of symptoms by 14 days.
      • We recommend all our guests wear a face covering/ face mask inside our hotel public spaces. Your face covering can be removed when in your bedroom and when using our outdoor spaces. We kindly ask guests to bring their own face covering with them but this is not mandatory.

      • We recommend guests wear a face mask or a face covering when in a crowded or enclosed area.
      • Please follow social distancing and directional signage to ensure we keep a safe distance.
      • Please use the hand sanitiser on arrival.

      From 19th July:

      • To maintain a Covid-19 secure environment we will not access or service guest’s rooms throughout the duration of your stay (unless a long stay). If you would like your room serviced or refreshed, please dial reception.
      • Bedroom amenities (magazines, pens, guest directory, sewing kit) will be reintroduced to the bedrooms.
      • We recommend guests wear a face mask or a face covering when in a crowded or enclosed area.
      • Please follow social distancing and directional signage to ensure we keep a safe distance.
      • Please use the hand sanitiser provided around the hotel.

      From 19th July:

      • There is no limit on table numbers, our team will seat your booking accordingly.
      • We offer both table service and bar service, as well as a breakfast buffet.
      • We recommend guests wear a face mask or a face covering when in a crowded or enclosed area.
      • Please follow social distancing and directional signage to ensure we keep a safe distance.
      • Please use the hand sanitiser provided around the hotel.
      • All cutlery is cleaned with a UV-C germicidal lamp system that kills bacteria and viruses.

      From 19th July:

      • There is no limit on the capacity of our event spaces. Numbers will be in line with the hotel risk assessments.
      • We recommend guests wear a face mask or a face covering when in a crowded or enclosed area.
      • Please follow social distancing and directional signage to ensure we keep a safe distance.
      • Please use the hand sanitiser provided around the hotel.

    • Our team

      From 19th July:

      • Our staff will continue to wear a face mask or a face covering where possible.
      • Our staff will use sanitiser and clean down high-touch point areas with anti-viral sprays.
      • All team members have completed Covid-19 training in conjunction with Flow Hospitality and will receive ongoing health and safety training.
      • Our staff will complete a Covid-19 risk disclosure form when they return from holiday.

    • What if I develop symptoms?
      • Should a guest have symptoms of Coronavirus during their stay, they must stay in their room and request a test. Please contact Reception as soon as possible to inform us.
      • All meals will be delivered to the door of the bedroom by a team member wearing PPE.
