Our location is surrounded by breathtaking Surrey countryside and is one that we want to protect. We consider sustainable practices and solutions wherever we can.

  • A key entry card system in rooms which automatically turns off the power when not occupied.
  • Giving our guests the option to not have their towels laundered everyday.
  • Low lush and dual flush toilets.
  • Working with our suppliers to cut down on packaging.
  • Takeaway boxes for guests dining in our restaurant, therefore reducing food waste.
  • Using recycled paper and tissue paper throughout the hotel.
  • Increasing plant-based and vegan options to our menus.
  • Zero and low-alcohol options on our drinks menus.

    In our community

    Originally the site of a Tudor Palace commissioned by Henry VIII in 1538, Oatlands Park Hotel was first established as a hotel in 1856. The Oatlands Estate is an incredible piece of British history and culture which we want to conserve for future generations.

  • Working with local heritage planning experts to carefully preserve the Grade-II Listed building.
  • The grounds are included in the "Register of Gardens and Park of Special Historic Interest."
  • Using the finest locally sourced food suppliers.
  • We recruiting locally and provide on-site accommodation where possible.
  • We partner with local charities to support community programmes.

    With 144 bedrooms 12 event spaces and a venue capacity of up to 420, we are aware of the carbon footprint that our hotel and conference venue can have on the environment.

  • All our meeting rooms feature plenty of natural daylight to reduce energy consumption
  • Using LED lighting and sensor lights.
  • Recycle all glass, cardboard and printed materials to reduce landfill.
  • Use locally sourced and seasonal ingredients in banqueting menus.
  • Eliminating plastic bottles for glass water bottles in all rooms.
  • Ensure all lights and air-conditioning are switched off in meeting rooms when not in use.
  • Provide recycled paper for meetings.

    We are actively working towards a more sustainable future and we have ‘green goals’ in place to show our commitment. We’re working with Greengage ECO Smart and hospitality industry experts to review our sustainable practices and implement new initiatives.

    The Oatlands estate has played host to many Emperors and Earls, Dukes and Duchesses throughout the centuries. The hotel you see today was built at the turn of the 18th century.
